When Apple released its "i" debut product, iMac, Apple co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs said, " it was a marriage of pleasure and simplicity of Macintosh internet".
So,"i" represents internet and Mac representing
Macintosh. The Internet is the word most often thought to "i" represented. However, the internet is not the only meant Jobs.
Besides the internet, "i" also means individualized nature,
referring to personal computers. Instructions, the computer also is
intended for educational purposes as well as information and
inspiration.
Since the debut of the iMac in 1998, Apple started to create some other
similar consumer product use "i", including iPod, iPhone and
now the iPad.
